About the role
Oddball is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join their remote team focused on migrating legacy data to an Azure and Databricks lakehouse. The role involves setting the technical strategy for data migration, guiding teams on best practices, designing reusable migration pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, and ensuring data accuracy through reconciliation processes. Candidates should have significant experience in data engineering, particularly with large migration projects, and must be proficient in Databricks or Spark, Azure Data Factory, SQL, and Python. Familiarity with lakehouse architecture and Delta is also important. A Bachelor's Degree is required, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States, with some roles potentially needing U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
