Frontend Software Engineer

Outset is hiring a Frontend Software Engineer to help build its AI-driven research platform, which is used by major global brands. The role focuses on creating and improving the product’s web interface with React and Next.js, connecting it to backend services, and working on responsive, reliable features that support real-time insights. You would work closely with the CEO and CTO, take frontend projects from idea to deployment, and speak with users to refine the experience. This position suits someone with 3+ years of frontend engineering experience, strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills, and a good grasp of modern web app and UI/UX best practices.

Responsibilities - Collaborate closely with the CTO and CEO on strategic technical decisions and product direction. - Design, develop, and optimize intuitive, user-friendly frontend interfaces using React and Next.js. - Build robust and responsive components that seamlessly integrate with backend services and APIs. - Enhance user experiences through real-time data visualization and interaction. - Lead frontend projects from initial conception through production deployment, ensuring scalability, responsiveness, and reliability. - Interface directly with users to gather feedback, understand pain points, and continuously improve our product's UI/UX. Qualifications - 3+ years of software engineering experience building production-grade frontend systems. - Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js. - Experience building scalable, responsive web applications. - Familiarity integrating frontend applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs. - Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices. - Bonus points for familiarity with real-time data visualization, WebRTC, or frontend performance optimization.
