Director of AI Data Center Operations

SoftConstruct is looking for a Director of AI Data Center Operations to manage a 5MW high-density compute environment focused on Enterprise AI workloads. The role involves overseeing the physical deployment, thermal management, and operational efficiency of liquid-cooled GPU clusters. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between colocation partners and internal AI Platform Engineering teams to optimize hardware performance and ensure effective power delivery. Applicants should have over seven years of experience in data center operations or high-performance computing, with at least three years in a leadership role. A strong technical background in liquid cooling systems and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs is essential. Experience with high-density hardware and managing colocation contracts is also required. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is necessary.
