Senior Mechanical Engineer

Stryker is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Orthopaedic Instruments team in Portage, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and verifying mechanical components and subsystems for medical devices. Daily tasks include translating clinical requirements into engineering specifications, conducting prototyping and testing, and resolving complex design challenges. You will utilize 3D CAD modeling software and maintain engineering documentation throughout the product development lifecycle. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and have at least two years of experience in product design or development. The position requires collaboration with various teams, including Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure successful product launches. The role is hybrid, requiring candidates to live within commuting distance of Portage, MI, and work onsite several days a week.
