Principal Infrastructure Architect: Data Platform

This full-time position involves serving as the primary infrastructure partner to ZoomInfo’s data engineering organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include establishing and maintaining paved-road patterns for infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and cost management. The role also requires enabling data teams to adopt these standards, reviewing their designs, and resolving complex infrastructure trade-offs. Additionally, the architect conducts proof-of-concept evaluations for new data technologies and vendor offerings to support procurement decisions. The position includes shared stewardship duties, such as participating in weekly architecture reviews, maintaining standards, and providing consulting to other teams. Candidates need a strong foundation in cloud computing, Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure-as-code, along with hands-on depth in data systems to engage credibly with engineers. The company expects real depth in specific areas of the broad data estate, with the ability to develop expertise in others as needed. The working arrangement is fully remote, with headquarters designated as remote. This role suits a cloud architect with a data specialty who can balance technical rigor with cross-team alignment.
