Storage Engineer

Firebird.ai is looking for a Storage Engineer to join their team in Yerevan on a permanent basis. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining storage infrastructure for both on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring high performance and security for critical applications and large data services. Daily responsibilities include architecting scalable storage solutions, monitoring performance and capacity, and developing data protection and disaster recovery plans. Candidates should have hands-on experience with cloud-native storage, particularly Kubernetes solutions like Ceph and Longhorn, as well as enterprise storage platforms such as Dell PowerScale. Familiarity with persistent volume management, storage class design, and block storage protocols is essential. The role also requires knowledge of object storage management, including S3-compatible solutions and lifecycle policies. Experience with security measures, such as RBAC and data encryption, is important, along with skills in hardware configuration and RAID management.
